I took forever to actually buy my bug net, and of course, now that I own it, I rarely get swarmed by bugs on trail!
I love that it comes in this little pouch; it weighs nothing, and I’d much rather have it clipped to my pack and never touch it than get halfway up a trail and start regretting the decision to save weight.
The mesh is way finer than I expected, so I can still see clearly and breathe fine, and it genuinely blocks bugs. Just don’t forget your hat though, because it’s designed to fit over a hat. And it covers the head and neck; so if you’re heading somewhere truly buggy, you’ll still want long sleeves and treated clothing to cover the rest of you.
If you’re the type who hikes or camps anywhere bugs might show up, the weight penalty is really worth it with this net!
