Garmin GPSMAP 67i: Satellite Communicator with inReach Technology
The Garmin GPSMAP 67i is my essential piece of safety gear for backcountry adventures! I own this device, use it regularly, and have a full review here. Whether I’m hiking deep in the wilderness or exploring trails without cell coverage, this satellite communicator gives me peace of mind.
With inReach® technology, the Garmin 67i lets you send and receive messages, share your location, and trigger an interactive SOS to a 24/7 Garmin Response emergency coordination center, all via the global Iridium® satellite network (subscription required). The large 3-inch sunlight-readable color display, preloaded TopoActive maps, and ABC sensors (altimeter, barometer, compass) make it a powerful navigation tool as well as a communication lifeline.
You can track your position even in challenging terrain thanks to multi-band technology and expanded GNSS support. Battery life is exceptional, up to 165 hours in default tracking mode and up to 425 hours in expedition mode. The device is built to military standards for thermal, shock, and water performance (MIL-STD-810), and even works with night vision goggles.
