Glacial Trail Pullover Hoody
This Glacial Trail Pullover Hoody by Mountain Hardwear features a low-profile warp-knit fabric with a soft-brushed grid interior that balances thermal efficiency with active airflow. It functions seamlessly within a technical layering system, trapping warmth close to your body while effectively pulling moisture away from your skin during active adventures.
The highly adaptive three-piece hood is built with a high neck design that can be adjusted based on the wind and temperature. It transitions smoothly from a casual drop-neck style to a full-coverage face shield that wraps over the chin or mouth, offering immediate defense against biting mountain gusts or chilly cabins.
Constructed from a recycled polyester and elastane blend, the four-way mechanical stretch fabric offers a standard fit that is neither too tight nor too baggy. Low-profile thumbholes at the cuffs hold the long sleeves securely in place, preventing the fabric from riding up when you slide your arms into a secondary jacket.
A secure zippered pocket is integrated into the upper left chest, providing a convenient, low-profile storage spot for small items you need to keep close at hand. The lightweight, quick-drying material makes it easy to wash, pack, and repeat on multi-day backcountry trips or extended vacation itineraries.
Glacial Trail Pullover Hoody Review
I absolutely love this hoody. It is thin enough that it doesn’t feel bulky under a pack, but it keeps me perfectly warm, and I actually own it in multiple colors because it fits me so well. The absolute highlight for me is the amazing hood; it has the potential to cover your entire face all the way up to your nose, leaving only your eyes exposed, which makes it fantastic for blocking cold winds in all seasons. I recently wore this piece every single day on my trip to Olympic and Mount Rainier in Washington. Beyond the trail, it was also great on the plane for traveling because it’s so cozy and easy to layer. Some days I layered it under a puffy or a rain jacket, and other days I wore it completely on its own; it stayed incredibly comfortable the entire time. The small zippered chest pocket on the left side is super convenient for trail essentials, and the thumbholes are a great addition. It is easily one of my favorite layers.
