Detailed Guide to Choosing the Right Society6 Phone Case

Society6 is a print-on-demand marketplace where each purchase pays an artist. And thousands of artists sell their artwork on a wide range of products there, including phone cases. Society6 sells both Android cases and iPhone cases. I’ll focus the review on the iPhone tough cases because they are the ones I have purchased. and FYI: these cases are now available for iPhone 16!!

Slim & Tough Cases

The slim cases have an extremely slim profile and are made from a single flexible plastic hard case. They are open around the phone’s buttons, so you have direct access to device features. Yet, they are meant to be impact-resistant, and can easily snap on and off. In my opinion, they may be pretty fragile compared to the tough cases, and they wouldn’t suit my needs.

Tough cases, on the other hand, are made of two pieces: a flexible plastic case with a silicone liner inside. They have extra impact protection with shock dispersion. I promise you this REALLY works. I dropped my phone so many times, and my phone still works and doesn’t have a scratch, it still looks completely new when I take off my case. The case absorbs it all.

Two-step process

The 2023 tough case is different and improved compared to the version I bought back in 2021. Now the silicon liner surrounds the back of the phone too. Back in the 2021 version, it was only going around the edges of the phone.

You first put on the black silicone liner, and then snap the plastic case on it.

The ring/silent bottom on the left is open, so you have direct access to the phone slider there, but the volume buttons and the on/off button on the right are all fully protected by the silicone liner.

As I previously mentioned, I drop my phone a lot, and this is what is left of the 2021 version of the tough case, after countless drops in 18 months. You can see in the photos below that the silicon liner still protects the phone when the plastic exterior cracks or breaks. As you can see, the phone still looks perfect in all corners after countless drops, and the screen never cracked either. All thanks to the Society6 iPhone tough case! Even when the plastic case broke, the silicon liner still protected the phone and my iPhone still looks as good as new.

I was EXTREMELY IMPRESSED!
3. The buttons are very well protected with this Society6 tough iPhone case, especially in the recent 2023 version of the tough case I received, and they are still easy to use. I do not lose any control over the phone because of the protective case.
4. Not only can I leave the case on to charge my phone wirelessly in the car, but the opening around the bottom port is also spacious enough that I can charge the phone with the case on too.
5. Their supplier is constantly improving their design, because the Society6 iPhone tough case I received in February 2023 is slightly different than the one from September 2021. The 2023 version is even better and sturdier than before, and the two pieces fit more like a glove than previous versions.
