Peak Design Capture Clip: My 2-Year Review for Hiking, Travel & Wildlife Photography
After using the Peak Design Capture Clip for 2 years, it has easily become one of my favorite camera accessories.
I use it most often on hikes, but it’s also incredibly useful when walking around town as a tourist, visiting the beach, or spending the day at the Safari Park.
Before buying it, my biggest problems were neck pain from camera straps, my camera constantly bouncing into my body while walking, and sometimes missing quick shots because it wasn’t easy to access.

Now my hands stay free, my camera feels secure, and it no longer swings around while I’m moving. It makes long walks, travel days, and hikes much more comfortable.

For longer hikes and full-day trips, I absolutely love using it. The only honest downside is that with my 100–400mm lens, my shoulder can start to feel sore after a long time.
That said, it’s still far more comfortable than using a neck strap or carrying the lens in my hand.
Compared to a regular strap or sling, this is much better because the camera stays secure, doesn’t move around, and I don’t need to keep one hand on it while walking.
